About Breathe Deep

Young Adult Fiction

2015, Eternal Press

When you're recalled to life, the first thing to do is breathe...

****

Leah is alive, which is saying a lot after the last few months. She’s faced terrorists, starvation, wild animals, and an assault. Not to mention being marooned for months on an island. Being alive right now is a big deal. Who knew that reentering civilization would be such a struggle?

Her attacker stalks Leah’s nightmares. Paparazzi stalk her waking hours. The goals she worked years toward have unraveled in the months she’s been gone. Her parents look at her like she’s a zombie, risen from the dead (and sometimes she feels that way). She should be able to relate to the other survivors, but one has become a media darling and the other is having even more trouble than Leah acclimating.

Can the castaways rebuild their lives in a world that assumed they were dead? Can romance move forward when the only thing they have in common is the past? Will Leah settle for the distractions of modern life? Or will she find a purpose and a voice?
